Launch of the AI Sovereignty Working Group

DSQ launches a working group on sovereignty issues related to artificial intelligence.

DSQ announces the creation of a working group dedicated to sovereignty issues related to artificial intelligence. This group will bring together AI ethics experts, digital law specialists, and industry representatives to formulate concrete recommendations.

Key questions the working group will address include: the localization of AI models used in public services, algorithmic transparency in government decisions, and the development of a sovereign AI capability in Quebec.

Work will begin in June 2025 and a first report is expected in the fall.
